Where to Find Online Job Applications
Welcome!
Thanks for visiting my hub regarding online job applications. Gone are the days when you had run all over town burning of gobs of time and effort submitting job applications. Now, a large number of employers will allow you to apply online, a few of which are profiled below.
Wal Mart
It's hard to imagine now, but there was a time when Wal Mart wasn't all things to all people. For instance, their stores didn't always have a grocery division. That change is just one way in which the Wal Mart has shown itself to be progressive in its thinking.
Moreover, the world's largest retailer continues to be innovative in certain areas. For instance, with respect to job applications. You can now apply for a job through Wal Mart's Online Hiring Center. Moreover, you don't have to complete the application in one sitting; you can save it and come back and complete it any time within the next 60 days.
Macy's
Macy's is another retailer that has embraced the concept of online job applications. Moreover, their site is extremely well-organized and exceptionally user-friendly.
First of all, they have a "Build Your Career" link. Clicking here will give you an overview of the various career paths at Macy's. In addition, it provides informationon how to get started along the career path of your choice.
Next, there's a "Jobs in the Spotlight" section that gives a nice list of new locations where the company is hiring. This area also contains a list of other profiled job openings in various of the country, including detailed job descriptions.
Finally, there is a search feature that allows you to search for potential jobs by both state and job function. Thus, if you were interested in Human Resource positions in New York, you would simply select those two search criteria (Human Resources and New York), and the site will display all positions that match. Then you simply apply for the position you want
All in all, Macy's has outdone themselves in this regard. You can check it out at Macy's Jobs.

Walgreens
Walgreens also allows for the submission of online applications on the Walgreens Job Search page. You must first select a career area, such as Pharmacy or In-Store. Then, you select a career. For instance, if you chose "In-Store" as your career area, your options for a career would include Service Clerk, Photo Specialist, Management Trainee and more. You then complete the application.
After completion, your application is actually viewable by all 7500 of Wal Mart's locations. Although you can preferentially select two specific locations where you'd be interested in working, it does not mean that you are only applying to those two stores.
Kohl's
Like Macy's, you will find that Kohl's has also done an outstanding job in developing their online application process. First of all, there is a sign-up area where prospective applicants can register to receive news and job updates.
Next, there is a "Current Postings" section tjhat shows all of the positions currently available and where they are located. The positions are listed in alphabetical order, which is helpful if you know exactly what you're looking for.
However, if you don't know exactly what you're looking for in terms of a position, the site also has a handy-dandy search feature that lets you sort by job category and state. Thus, if I'm interested in store positions in Wisconsin, I'd select those options and the site would pull up all available positions that match the stated criteria.
You can find the application on Kohl's Careers page.
